Hyder Alabed

As CIRI’s vice president, mergers, acquisitions and ventures, Hyder Alabed plays a key role in developing and executing the Company’s growth strategy, including evaluating and executing acquisitions; making strategic decisions based on industry research and analysis; and collaborating with CIRI leadership to actively drive corporate growth, sustainability and profitability.

Hyder joined CIRI from Blue Origin, where he served as head of Reef Starter, an innovation engine designed to reduce barriers to entry for startups seeking to become users of Orbital Reef, the commercially developed, owned and operated space station planned for low Earth orbit. In that role, he was responsible for launching and leading an international investment initiative focused on facilitating growth for companies pursuing research and development in space.

Prior to Blue Origin, Hyder served as an investor for global organizations including the Walt Disney Co., Lockheed Martin and Techstars. He has also worked as a data scientist.

Hyder holds a Bachelor of Science in statistics and economics from Florida State University and volunteers as a mentor for various accelerator and incubator programs. He joined the CIRI team in 2024.
