Information Meetings are typically held in April and early May. Meeting locations rotate among three communities: Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula and the Pacific Northwest. The Annual Meeting location does not host an Information Meeting that same year. Information Meetings are held after the audited financial statements and Annual Report for the prior year are completed.
Those who attend the Information Meetings hear a report on the previous year’s business operations and have an opportunity to ask questions; meet CIRI Directors, staff and Board candidates; and listen to candidate speeches.
Information Meeting attendance is limited to CIRI Shareholders, confirmed Descendants and their immediate family members (i.e, spouse, children and/or stock custodian); however, only CIRI Shareholders can engage in the business portion of the meeting.
