Stronger Together: Celebrating Milestones and Community

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Annual Meeting cycle. This year’s Annual Meeting in Anchorage was well attended, reflecting growing Shareholder interest and participation.

The Annual Meeting is one of the most important governance and Shareholder engagement events we hold each year. It is an opportunity to fulfill our corporate responsibilities, report on the performance of the Corporation, elect Directors and hear directly from Shareholders. It is also one of the occasions when Shareholders, Board members and leadership gather in one place, making it a critical opportunity to strengthen trust, foster transparency and facilitate connection.

This year’s discussions reflected the topics that matter most to our CIRI family, including the Company’s long-term business strategy; Shareholder distributions and benefits; opportunities for future generations, including career and leadership development; and stewardship of the lands and resources entrusted to us.

We also heard questions about the evolving federal contracting environment; housing and social services; Shareholder and Descendant programs; and ways to strengthen engagement, communication, and community across our region and beyond. We are grateful for the thoughtful engagement and perspectives shared during these discussions, which inform our work and vision for the future.

As we continue to move through another busy and meaningful year, we are reminded that CIRI’s greatest strength has always been our people. Whether gathering at events, participating in programs, or sharing knowledge and traditions across generations, the connection we share as a community remains at the heart of everything we do.

This year, we celebrate an important milestone as the CIRI Shareholder family surpasses 10,000 members. More than just a number, this milestone reflects the enduring legacy of our original enrollees and the generations that have followed.

We are also honoring the 50th anniversary of the Cook Inlet Land Exchange, a landmark agreement that helped shape the future of our region and our Corporation. The anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on the foresight, persistence and leadership of those who worked to secure opportunities for future generations. Their efforts continue to influence how we steward our lands, develop resources responsibly, and create long-term value for our Shareholders and Descendants.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the return of our Friendship Potlatches this fall. These gatherings provide a special opportunity to celebrate our cultures, reconnect with friends and family, honor our traditions and strengthen the bonds that unite us. We hope you’ll join us! Potlatches will be held Oct. 17 in Anchorage, Oct. 25 on the Kenai Peninsula and Nov. 7 in the Pacific Northwest. Each event offers a chance to come together in the spirit of friendship, sharing and community.

As we commemorate important milestones, celebrate our heritage and prepare for the future, we remain grateful for the trust and involvement of our Shareholders and Descendants. Together, we continue building on the legacy of those who came before us while creating new opportunities for generations to come.
